Crickter Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was seen on the popular comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, has finally left the show.

Apparently, Sidhu has taken the decision considering the upcoming assembly elections in Punjab.

In fact his wife Navjot Kaur also confirmed the news to a leading new channel. She said that Sidhu wants to give his entire time and focus to Punjab politics and his party ‘Awaaz-e-Punjab Morcha’.

She also mentioned that Navjot Singh has already completed the shooting of all the episodes of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ till the end of this month and has bid adieu to the cast of show. If the media reports are to be believed, Sidhu was earning an annual income of Rs 25 crores from the comedy show. However, he chose to give it up for his political career.

So far, neither Kapil Sharma nor the makers of the show have made any official statement in this regard.

Sidhu is said to be visiting Amritsar on October 1st to start working for his political party.

It has been a while when he had announced his resignation from BJP owing to his differences with the party leaders.

Though, he was also speculated to join Aam Aadmi Party, Sidhu went on to start his own party, which will be contesting in the 2017 Punjab elections. He also stated that his fight is against the system that has ruined Punjab and people with selfish interests.

Well, though Navjot Singh Sidhu is eager to start working towards his political career and his new party, we are surely going to miss his presence, commendable shayari and the ‘thoko taali’ instances on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
