Undoubtedly, ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ is one of the most entertaining movies Bollywood has ever seen. Most of the cine buffs can never be tired of watching it. On it’s 12th anniversary, we list you five reasons which worked in its favour:

1. The cast:

‘Mujshe Shaadi Karogi’ won half the battle at the box office with its cast. All the three lead actors did an impeccable job in bringing their characters alive on silver screen. Salman’s anger, Akshay’s wit and Priyanka’s  grace served as a perfect combination.

2. Akshay-Salman bromance:

Though for the larger part of the movie Akshay and Salman were at loggerheads, still they made for an interesting watch. The way both of them created troubles for each other gave viewers a laugh riot, contributing towards the movie becoming a hit.

3. Salman’s style:

If nothing else, ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ added weight to Salman’s style resume. His hairdo, his blue sunglasses and not to forget the towel dance in the song ‘Jeene Ke Hai Chaar Din’, attracted viewers to theatres again and again.

4. The direction:

It can be credited to David Dhawan for making a normal story on love and friendship a marvel. He ensured that his thoughts are expressed by his actors. Not only this, the viewers walked out of cinema halls with an important lesson on love.

5. The supporting cast:

‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ is probably one of the few movies where the supporting cast too got as much as appreciation as the lead actors. Whether it was Amrish Puri’s anger or Kader Khan’s weird disease or Rajpal Yadav’s nonsensical suggestions, all of them fit perfectly in the movie.
