From doing action-pact roles to playing rib-tickling comedy characters, actor Akshay Kumar has proved that he is one of the most versatile actors of the industry. Despite giving three big hits last year, he was not nominated for Filmfare Awards. when asked about the same, the actor said he feels that he did not deserve an award.

While talking to a leading daily, Akshay was asked to give his take on not getting Filmfare nomination. ‘Khiladi Kumar’ showed his generosity and said that there were other actors who had done a better job that’s why he doesn’t deserve an award. He added that just because of this particular reason he will not start questioning the credibility of awards.

Akshay said, “Maybe I didn’t deserve an award because there were many others who did a better job. Awards are good and because of these reasons I won’t stop believing or questioning awards.”

Previously, when Filmfare Awards nominations were announced, he was not nominated in the “Best Actor” category. This made movie buffs disappointed who felt that Akshay’s performances in ‘Rustom’ and ‘Airlift’ deserved to be acknowledged. This created furore on social media and people started questioning on the authenticity of these awards.

But it seems that Akshay is unfazed with all this and will continue to entertain people without expecting something.

Akshay will next be seen in ‘Jolly LLB 2’ which is the sequel of 2013 film ‘Jolly LLB’ which is scheduled to hit the screens on February 10. The film also features Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla in pivotal roles.
