Madhubala to get waxed as Anarkali at Madame Tussauds in Delhi

Madhubala has worked in man iconic films like Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Mr. & Mrs. '55, Howrah Bridge and many more.

Veteran actress Madhubala has become the latest Bollywood celebrity to join some prominent actors at Madame Tussauds in Delhi. The museum will be opened by the end of the year and the actress will be seen as Anarkali, one of her iconic characters from Mughal-E- Azam. The yesteryear actress has worked in many films and is still considered as one of the finest actresses of the Hindi cinema. The lady has worked in classic movies like Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Mr. & Mrs. '55, Howrah Bridge and many more.

"We are glad to have the figure of Madhubala at Madame Tussauds Delhi. She continues to rule the hearts of billions of fans in the nation.

"We are sure that her magnetic beauty will attract her fans to click a selfie and relive a special moment with her and be transported back to the golden era of cinema," Anshul Jain, General Manager and Director Merlin Entertainments India Pvt Ltd, said.

Madhubala's beauty was recognized globally when she was featured in one of the popular American Magazine's - Theatre Arts in 1952. To honour her, a commemorative postage stamp featuring Madhubala was issued by the Indian Post in 2008.

 

Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shreya Ghoshal and Asha Bhonsle will also be having their wax statues at museum to be housed in the iconic Regal Building.
