Despite facing stiff competition from a mammoth film like Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0, Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath has managed to hold its own at the box office for over a week. The romantic drama, which features Sushant Singh Rajput and debutante Sara Ali Khan, has maintained a steady pace at the box office. The film has crossed Rs 50 crore mark at the tenth day of its opening.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the latest box office report, “#Kedarnath crosses ₹ 50 cr... Maintains a strong grip in Weekend 2, despite reduction in screens/shows + Hollywood biggie #Aquaman... Should comfortably sail past ₹ 60 cr on weekdays... [Week 2] Fri 2.50 cr, Sat 3.93 cr, Sun 5.33 cr. Total: ₹ 54.21 cr. India biz”.

Kedarnath, which is set against the background of the Uttarakhand floods which ravaged the shrine-town in 2013, is a love story of the Muslim pitthoo Mansoor (Sushant Singh Rajput) and the Pahadi Pandit's daughter Mandakini aka Mukku (Sara Ali Khan).
The film needs to pick up significantly over the weekend, before another big Bollywood release - Aanand L Rai's Zero starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma - hits the screens.
