Actress Kajol today clarified that the video in which she was seen eating a dish at a friend's restaurant created a miss communication as she ate buffalo meat not beef.

In the video, the actress was seen pulling her friend’s leg as he prepared "beef dish" for her. The video went viral. The actress later deleted the video.

Kajol today took to micro blogging site Twitter to clear her stand.

She tweeted, “A video of me at a friend's lunch said that there was beef dish at the table. That's a miscommunication. What was shown was buffalo meat, that is a legally available meat. I'm issuing this clarification because this is a sensitive matter that may hurt religious sentiments, which is not my intention.”

Beef or cow meat is banned in the state of Maharashtra. Thus, to avoid controversies, Kajol has clarified her stand.

The actress was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s directorial venture Dilwale opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She will next be seen in a Tamil film VIP 2 alongside Dhanush.
