Just like every Bollywood clash, the one between ‘Freaky Ali’ and ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, the box office numbers are what hold importance. The verdict of the first day gives ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ an upper hand over ‘Freaky Ali’.
On the first day, ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ minted Rs 6.81 crore while ‘Freaky Ali’ settled for only Rs 2.55 crore in India.

‘Baar Baar Dekho’ starring Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra is the first movie co-produced by Dharma Productions and Excel Entertainment. Directed by debutant Nitya Mehra, the movie spans the love story of Jai and Dia spanned over 40 years. The movie received mixed reviews with viewers hailing the chemistry of Kat and Sid. The story, however, few said is not relatahble making for a tedious watch.
Produced by Salman Khan Films, ‘Freaky Ali’ features Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, an extortion money collector, becomes a golfer in the movie. Critics have lauded Nawazuddin’s performance calling it the silver lining in the movie. While he carries the movie on his shoulders, the other performances have been called a let down by critics.
Both these movies need to pick up pace to register a decent collection at the box office.
