This week, Bollywood buffs must be having a tough time choosing between the films to watch. This Friday, audience was presented with two one of the most awaited films, Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. While Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s Shubh Mangal Saavdhan raked in praises among critics, Baadshaho received tepid responses by them. RS Prasanna’s Shubh Mangal Saavdhan earned praises for its oven fresh topic and slapstick comedy. Not only the critics, but audience also showered positive response for the movie on Twitter. After the reviews of the two films, let’s see how they are performing on box office. 

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan Box Office Report

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, tweeted the first day and second day earning of the film on his Twitter account. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan cashed ₹ 2.71 crore on Friday. The business was expected to bloom over weekend due to Eid festivities. On Saturday, the movie raked in ₹ 5.56 crore, which is just double the earning on its opening. The film performed excellently on Saturday. The two-day-earning of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is ₹ 8.27.

Baadshaho Box Office Report

The film has shown a steady growth since its release on 1st September. The film started on a solid note, earning ₹ 12.03 crore on its opening. Just like Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the film was expected to earn more over weekend owing to festivities. Baadshaho witness a rocking Saturday according to Taran Adarsh. It raked in ₹ 15.60 crore on 2nd day of its opening. The rise wasn’t however as much as SBS. The two-day-total of the film currently rests on ₹ 27.63 crore.

Another point to be noted is that Milan Luthria’s Baadshaho released across 2,800 screens in India while Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan got 1,400 screens across the country.
