Great news for Amitabh Bachchan fans! The legendary actor, who is celebrating his 75th birthday today, is all set to reprise late Hollywood sensation Robin Williams’s role in the Hindi remake of License to Wed. The Hollywood flick is one of the iconic films, which is popular across the globe and now, getting to see Big B in such a promising character will definitely be a beautiful dream come true.

“Robin Williams’ License To Wed is being remade in Hindi. Warner Bros who distributed the original are planning to produce the Hindi version. They have found a director to helm the romantic comedy where Amitabh Bachchan will be playing Reverend Frank”, a source was quoted as saying to DNA.

Directed by Ken Kwapis, License to Wed is a 2007 film which starred Robin Williams, Mandy Moore and John Krasinski in lead roles. Besides, Amitabh Bachchan, the makers of the film haven’t finalized the duo who will be playing Mandy and John in the remake, the source added.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen next in Thugs Of Hindostan, which also stars Katrina Kaif, Aamir Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Senior Bachchan is also set to impress with 102 Not Out where he will share screen space with Rishi Kapoor.

Hollywood remakes have worked wonders for the Hindi film industry and recently, Saif Ali Khan starrer Chef (Hollywood remake with the same name) is winning hearts among the audience and critics.
