PM Modi urges people to break voting records of previous three phases

On Monday morning, PM Modi tweeted, "Another phase of the General Elections begins today. I hope those voting today do so in large numbers and break the voting records of the previous three phases."

The fourth phase polling for ongoing 2019 Lok Sabha elections has begun. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Twitter account to appeal the voters to come out and exercise their part of responsibility towards the nation.

On Monday morning, PM Modi tweeted, "Another phase of the General Elections begins today. I hope those voting today do so in large numbers and break the voting records of the previous three phases."

"A special appeal to young voters to head to the polling booth and exercise their franchise," he added. 

The fourth phase of voting will be held for 71 Lok Sabha constituencies. About 12.79 crore people are eligible for voting in this phase.  

The first three phases of polling were held on April 11, 18 and 13 respectively in 302 Lok Sabha constituencies.

The ongoing 2019 parliamentary elections are being held in seven phases and the last phase is scheduled on May 19. 

The election counting and results will be announced on May 23.
