A day after Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati said that she is ready for an alliance, on Monday, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav said that in the coming days a strong alliance will emerge.

“Not only the political parties but all the people in India want to oust Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the coming days you will witness a strong alliance," former CM of Uttar Pradesh said.

On Sunday, Mayawati said that to stop the BJP from winning general polls 2019 she is ready to be a part of an alliance. However, she cautioned that the BSP will enter an alliance only if given a respectable share of seats.

Otherwise, the party will go for the polls alone, she said. 

It is pertinent to mention here that in just seven months the country will witness the Lok Sabha elections 2019. As the dates for the polls are drawing near, efforts for a grand alliance is gaining momentum in order to stop the BJP from winning again.
