Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the world today has started accepting India as a superpower.

Addressing a rally in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi said “This chowkidar has instilled a sense of fear in those who sponsor terrorism.”

“Today the world is seeing India as a superpower. The UPA government was remote-controlled, my government is strong and decisive,” he added.

He asked people to choose between honest chowkidar and corrupt naamdar.

Hitting out at the Congress-NCP alliance, PM Modi said the  'mahamilawat' are standing with people who want to separate Jammu and Kashmir from India.

“On the one side, there are hollow promises of the 'mahamilawat' and on the other, the strong intentions of the NDA government. During the Congress-NCP government, bomb blasts took place across Mumbai. In the last five years, blasts have stopped in Maharashtra," he added.

The Prime Minster said that the entire nation is standing as one in terms of the nation's security and defence.

He, however, repeated his earlier promises of a water ministry and rang up the old slam of a scam operating out of the Gandhi family's 'Tughlaq Road' residence.

The Prime Minister also said that the voters will not accept Congress’ weak stance on terrorism.
“I want to ask the first time voters whether they accept the previous government’s weak stance on terrorism. Only if our country remains safe, will the countrymen’s future be secure,” he said.
