Army official found dead on Sadar Bazar railway track in Delhi

A body of Indian Army officer was recovered at the Sadar Bazar Railway Track in Delhi on Monday. The corpse was recovered by the railway police on Monday afternoon at 11.20 am.

A body of Indian Army officer was recovered at the Sadar Bazar Railway Track in Delhi on Monday. The corpse was recovered by the railway police on Monday afternoon at 11.20 am. The body of the officer was later recognised as Lieutenant Diwakar Puri who was deployed as a doctor in the Indian Army.
According to police sources, the cause of death is yet not clear. But this incident happened when the Shatabdi train passed through the tracks. The police were investigating the case as suicide case initially but now the body has been sent for post-mortem.

According to the DCP Railway, Diwakar had come to Delhi on Monday by Shramjeevi Express after training from Lucknow. His posting was done in Pulwama, Kashmir. He fell asleep while travelling and had forgotten to take the luggage which was later deposited in the RPF.

Coach Attendant woke him up at the railway station. Then he got up and reached the Sadar Bazar railway station track. There his dead body was found on the track at around 11.20 am. He lived at Delhi's Rohini. The reason for his death will be clear only after postormum.
