SBI may block net banking for customers who fail to link their mobile numbers by December 1

"Attention INB (Internet Banking) users, please register your mobile number with us immediately, if not already done, through Branch, failing which the Internet Banking facility may be blocked with effect from 01.12.2018", it said on its online portal- onlinesbi.com.

State Bank of India (SBI), India's largest lender, has said that its customers will not be allowed to use internet banking facility if they fail to link their mobile phone numbers with the bank by December 1.

"Attention INB (Internet Banking) users, please register your mobile number with us immediately, if not already done, through Branch, failing which the Internet Banking facility may be blocked with effect from 01.12.2018", it said on its online portal- onlinesbi.com.

In the wake of the circular (dated July 6, 2017) issued by Reserve Bank of India (RBI), SBI has taken this step. 

Here are the steps to check if your mobile number is already registered with SBI net banking or not:

a). Visit onlinesbi.com (SBI's official website)

b). Enter login and password details

c). Click on 'My Account and Profile' tab

d). Then click on 'Profile' tab

e). Click on 'Personal Details/Mobile'. 

f). Enter the profile password (Note: It is different from the user password)

g). After the profile password is successfully entered, the registered mobile number and email id (if already registered) will be displayed.
