The major DTH service providers have come out with individual pricing, following the announcement of new regulations by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) asking the consumers to select channels of their choice till January 31.

The TRAI had notified twice, in March 2017 and July 2018 over the new regulatory framework asking the companies to follow the schedule.

Issuing a statement, the TRAI said that all existing plans availed by the subscribers would continue uninterrupted till 31 January 2019.

The regulator warned service providers against disconnecting services to subscribers and local cable operators till that date.

Hathway’s basic plan starts at Rs 100 and has genre based packs along with independent channel prices. The English movie pack and sports packs of seven popular channels costs Rs 42.7 per month.

Airtel DTH has combo top-ups and a la carte plans for all the TV channels, with premium channels like Sony, Star Plus, Sony Ten and Star Sports and Zee Cinema priced at over Rs 20. However, there are a lot of free channels like DD, 9XM, B4U.

Dish TV, another big DTH player, has also released its channel pricing list on its website.
