New Delhi: LG has officially rolled out G3 Stylus in India, at Rs. 21,500. The smartphone adds a stylus for people who feel more comfortable jotting, sketching, or taking notes.
First announced in August ahead of IFA, the LG G3 Stylus is a pen-enabled smartphone equipped with a stylus that slides right into the side of the phone. The stylus itself is made of a proprietary Rubberdium material that LG says will feel comfortable in either hand.
LG G3 measures 149.3x75.9x10.2mm and weighs 163 grams.
The Stylus version of the G3 is a pen-enabled smartphone features a 5.5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage.
The device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and offers a 1.3-megapixel font camera. The device is fueled by a 3000mAh removable battery. Optimized for various 3G markets' wireless networks, the G3 Stylus will be offered in Dual SIM with NFC capability in three colors: Black, White and Gold.
The smartphone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and features G3-derived UX skin which includes the Touch and Shoot feature, which clicks images by tapping anywhere on the display to focus and shoot in one single step. Gesture Shot feature in the camera allows users to open and close a hand in front of the lens to start a three-second countdown for the shutter.
Users will be able to jot and sketch using LG's QuickMemo+ app, but the stylus is also compatible with a variety of third-party handwriting and drawing apps.
