KFA employees urge Yuvraj not to play for RCB in IPL

Mumbai: Employees' union of the grounded Kingfisher Airlines, which has not paid its workers for the past 18 months, has appealed cricketer Yuvraj Singh not to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the forthcoming

The union also said that the employees have not only exhausted all their savings, but was also under the burden of huge debts, taken from their relatives/banks by mortgaging their properties/jewellery.

“The case is worse for lower staff those who are forced to stay in slums as destitute. While Mallya says that he does not have money to pay us whereas he is spending crores in IPL/Formula 1/Kingfisher calendars,” the letter pointed out.

The airline, which posted Rs 822.42-crore loss for the quarter ended December 31, 2013, is grounded since October 2012.
