Kawasaki launches new bike Z800 priced at Rs.8 lakh

New Delhi: Japanese two-wheeler major Kawasaki on Monday expanded its range of motorcycles in India with the launch of Z800 model, priced atRs.8.05 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).The company aims to sell around 400 completely built units

With the launch of the new model, the company now has a total of seven models in the country.

When asked about the plans to expand sales network in India, Nishikawa said: “We are currently studying options for expanding dealer network. By the end of 2015, we could have around five dealers.”

The company currently has two dealerships in the country -- Pune and the second one in Delhi, which was inaugurated on Monday.

When asked about company's plans to assemble more bikes in India, Nishikawa said that the company would have to sell more bikes in the country to be able to do that.

Last year Kawasaki had launched Z1000 and Ninja 1000 in the country priced at Rs.12 lakh each (ex-showroom Delhi).

The company had launched Ninja ZX-14R and ZX-10R in September last year.
