New Delhi: The AAP government will table its annual budget on March 28 in the Delhi Assembly, with health and education set to get priority in allocations.

The House will meet only for five days as a number of holidays fall during the Budget Session -- which will be held from March 22 to 31.

On the first day, Lt Governor Najeeb Jung will address the House.

"Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the 2016-17 Budget in the Assembly on March 28," an official said.

A senior official, meanwhile, said the government is unlikely to table many Bills during the session.

Priority would be given to the education, health and transport sectors. Delhi government is set to spend 25 per cent of the budget on education. It will also set aside funds for buying new buses.

Besides, the government will provide funds for 3,000 mohalla sabhas where locals will have a say in deciding civic projects in their areas.

"By forming mohalla sabhas, the government will empower the people to have a say in deciding the civic projects to be executed in their areas.

"The government will make a provision for allocating funds for these mohalla sabhas," the official said.
