Sony launches Xperia E1 and Xperia T2 Ultra

New Delhi: Sony has launcher a new mid-range Xperia smartphone, called the Xperia E1, alongside the Xperia T2 Ultra phablet. Both these devices have been launched in two variants: single SIM and dual-SIM.While the Sony Xperia E1 is the single SIM variant, the Xperia E1 dual is the dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) variant, and both these smartphoens have nearly identical specifications. The Sony Xperia E1 comes with a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels, offering a 233ppi pixel density. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8210 processor and has 512MB of RAM. It offers 4GB of inbuilt storage, but there is no mention about expandable storage support as well as camera. It packs a 1700mAh battery and comes with 3G connectivity support. The E1 will be available in Black, Purple and White.The company is offering a promotional 30 day free pass for company's Entertainment Network music streaming service.On the other hand, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra comes in two variants, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and Sony Xperia T2 Ultra dual. The phone comes with a dual SIM card option, allowing you to set up each card independently with custom ring tones and one-touch switching between cards before making calls or sending texts. The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It has a 6-inch HD TRILUMINOS display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and offers a resolution of 720x1080 pixels. The device is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor and has 1GB of RAM. It offers 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS for mobile and also houses a 1.1-megapixel front-facing camera with an Exmor R sensor. The device gets its juice from a 3000mAh battery with battery STAMINA Mode.Sony is offering Xperia T2 Ultra with Album, Walkman, and Movies apps all integrating out-of-the-box; Sony Entertainment Network content is also available to users straight from set up.The T2 Ultra is targeted at emerging markets – specifically China, the Middle East, Africa, and locations in Asia.
