New Delhi: OnePlus has announced a buyback offer for its smartphones in exchange of old phones. The company says that users can avail up to Rs 16,000 off on exchange of their old device.

The offer is available for all OnePlus phones, which includes OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X. The buyback scheme is only available on Amazon India. OnePlus 2 (64GB) is selling on the website for Rs 22,999, OnePlus One (64GB) and OnePlus X Onyx (16GB) are available for Rs 19,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively.

Users need to choose the OnePlus smartphone, place the order and make a note of the order id. Next they need to go back to purchased mobile page on Amazon and click ‘Mobile Payback Sceme’. A page with T&Cs will open up. Once users agree with the T&Cs, they will be redirected to the ReGlobe page.

The ReGlobe page will ask users to enter the details of their existing smartphone. The checking details are based on availability of original accessories, original bill if the phone is over 11 months old, and the condition of the phone, which you want to exchange. The ReGlobe website has an interface with a list of valid products that can be exchanged. Users can check area availability, price and buyback availability here.

Then the user needs to enter the contact information and wait for a call from ReGlobe and set up a pick-up time mutually. The OnePlus smartphone and cash back will then get delivered at the scheduled time.

ReGlobe offers prices on exchange are approximate—Rs 3,800 for an iPhone 4 (16GB), Rs 10,200 for an Apple iPhone 5s (16GB), Rs 9,000 for a Samsung Galaxy S5, Rs 5,500 for the Moto G (16GB; 3rd Gen), Rs 6,400 for a Xiaomi Mi4 (16GB), assuming each of these phones are at least 11 months old at this time.

Meanwhile, OnePlus is expected to be working upon OnePlus 3 smartphone. The OnePlus 3 launch is rumoured in the second quarter of this year according to Carl Pei, Co-Founder of OnePlus. He said that the OnePlus 3 will feature a “new design” indirectly suggesting users not to expect anything on the similar tracks as the OnePlus 2. Any other details about the new handset is not revealed yet.
