What is the salary of UP Police Constable?

The Department of Police, Uttar Pradesh provides an attractive package to the selected candidates, aligning with the 7th pay grade commission.

As per the notification, the selected candidates get a salary of Rs. 5200 - 20200 per month with a Grade pay of Rs. 2000.

The monthly basic salary of a UP Police Constable is 21,700/ with an annual salary of Rs. 260,400.

Along with a salary, the candidates receive other allowances including DA, HRA, TA, and others.

At the beginning of career, the candidate receives a monthly salary ranging from 30,000 to 40,000 resulting in an annual income of Rs. 4,20,000 to 4,80,000.

Before the appointment, the shortlisted candidate will have to first go through a two-year training period and their promotion will be based on their performance.

During the training period, the candidates receive a stipend or basic pay during this period, which is equal to their regular salary.

Over the first five years of service, the shortlisted candidates can anticipate a 30% to 50% increase in income, propelled by annual increments, promotions, and various allowances.
