In December, public health officials from China informed the World Health Organization (WHO) that they had a problem. An unknown new virus was causing pneumonia-like illness in the city of Wuhan. They quickly determined that it was coronavirus which was rapidly spreading through and outside of Wuhan. The majority of the illnesses are in Wuhan, but cases have been reported in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Macau, Hong Kong, and the US. While speaking to ANI in Mumbai, the Executive Vice President of Global Security Solutions at International SOS, Udit Mehta spoke about coronavirus. He said, "The existing virus just like any other fast spreading disease has got security repercussions that are fairly direct." "At this stage it is exceptionally preliminary and it has not reached a stage which would call from massive measures but what we know as of now the public transportation service in Wuhan has been shut." "SOS teams are ready in China to evacuate and our infrastructure is ready if evacuation is needed," he added.
