Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra on Wednesday clarified that there was no water leakage in the sanctum sanctorum where Lord Ram Lalla resides in the temple in Ayodhya. The statement came amid reports of water leakage from the roof in the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya. "In the sanctum sanctorum where Lord Ram Lalla resides, not a single drop of water has dripped from the roof nor has water entered the sanctum sanctorum from anywhere," Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra stated in a post on X.

Temple Trust urges reliance on official updates

The Temple Trust also urged people to rely solely on information provided by the official media of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra for updates regarding the construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. "Excellent arrangements have been made for the drainage of rainwater in the temple and park complex, the work of which is in progress. The entire complex has been managed for rainwater with zero water discharge outside. Recharge pits are being constructed on the campus to retain rainwater," it added.

What Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman said?

Earlier on Tuesday, Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra rejected the allegations of the temple's chief priest regarding the seepage of rainwater draining out of water from the sanctum sanctorum. "There was no water leakage but the rainwater came down from the pipes fixed to install electric wires," Mishra said.

Alleging negligence in the construction of the temple, Ram Janmabhoomi temple chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das had on Monday alleged that there was no arrangement for the draining out of rainwater from the temple premises after the showers on Saturday midnight and urged the temple authorities to take necessary corrective measures.

Das had asked the temple authorities to take cognisance of the incident and make necessary arrangements to stop leakage and ensure the outflow of water from the temple. He had claimed that there was heavy leakage from the roof of the temple's sanctum sanctorum in the first heavy showers that occurred at midnight on Saturday.
