To many, it felt like all hell broke loose when they found out that food delivery apps, Zomato and Swiggy are down. Users across the country are facing problems while placing new orders, many having issues with delayed deliveries. As the latest news about Zomato and Swiggy surfaced, the two became top trends on social media platforms and netizens have been sharing funny memes. 

Those who were just about to place an order are suffering from hunger pangs while others think it's finally the time to plan a weight loss. Several others are just having fun as funny memes and hilarious come swirling on Twitter Sample some of the tweets here:

Online food delivery platforms Zomato and Swiggy, along with several other online platforms, suffered a brief nationwide outage on Wednesday. According to the website outage monitor platform DownDetector, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers went down at the same time on Wednesday afternoon, indicating that it may have caused the brief outage. However, it could not be confirmed.

While 55 per cent users reported problems with server connection at AWS, 38 per cent had problems with AWS Console, according to DownDetector.

AWS was yet to react while Zomato and Swiggy said on Twitter that they were working on resolving the "temporary glitch".

Both food delivery apps were back in service after nearly half an hour long outage. While the services have resumed, social media is already got flooded with a number of complaints from users. An official statement from the food delivery apps is awaited.
