A voter turnout of over 63 per cent was recorded in the fourth and last phase of the election for zila parishad and panchayat samiti members in Rajasthan on Saturday, officials said.

Altogether 157 candidates including four Union Ministers are in the fray in the seventh and final phase of polling in Bihar.
Elections were held in 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 10 seats in Haryana, eight constituencies each in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, four in Jharkhand and seven seats in Delhi where votes were cast by a number of public figures, including President Ram Nath Kovind, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
Over 1.43 crore people in Delhi were eligible to vote in this election. Out of total 164 candidates, 18 are women while there are 43 Independent candidates.
The Election Commission of India has setup a polling booth for this singular voter in the middle of a dense, isolated jungle of Gujarat’s Junagadh district.
Vijayi (65) was waiting for her turn to vote at the Chokli Rama vilasam L P School booth near Panur, which comes under Vatakara constituency when she collapsed, police said.
Barring a few isolated incidents of violence, polling has largely been peaceful in Balurghat, Maldaha Uttar, Maldaha Dakshin, Jangipur and Murshidabad Lok Sabha seats, he said.
