A spokesperson for the Chief Minister said the UP's Home Secretary has informed Punjab's Director, Civil Aviation of the denial of permission in response to his letter seeking permission for landing and taking off of Chief Minister's chopper at Lakhimpur Kheri.

The Uttar Pradesh government in its Budget 2020-21, presented in the state Assembly on Tuesday, has laid emphasis on developing metro networks, airports and expressways, besides fixing a target to build four lakh houses for weaker sections by March 2021.
The Yogi Adityanath government has so far taken action including compulsory retirement against over 600 lax or corrupt government employees including officers. While over 200 officers and employees were given compulsory retirement, over 400 of them were suspended or demoted, officials said.
Referring to the FIR and minutes of the meeting of the UP State Power Sector Employees Trust, leaders of UP Power Employees' Joint Committee said the decision to invest the hard-earned money of the employees in a shady company was taken on March 24, 2017, five days after Yogi Adityanath took oath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
