The incident occurred in Sultanpur Theda village on Thursday evening and the local people allegedly attacked the teachers and the school headmaster, who was leading the yatra.

“Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and AAP's UP unit president Sabhajit Singh will be joining the Tiranga Yatra in Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar on Wednesday,” AAP's district unit president Bhupendra Judaun said.

Party leaders said as the country is marking the 75th year of Independence, the yatra aims to unite people against the politics of casteism and corruption.
During Tiranga Yatra on the Republic Day, a 22-year-old youth, identified as Abhishek Gupta alias Chandan, was shot dead by some people after which a series of violence and arson incidents had taken place in Kasganj.
Enraged by the false rumours of his demise, the mob staged violence and torched several vehicles and shops over the course of three days, resulting in the death of one person.
