According to the figures released by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bihar, Jhanjharpur recorded the highest turnout at 11.50 per cent followed by Araria at 10 per cent, Madhepura 8.75 per cent, Supaul 8.30 per cent and Khagaria 8 per cent.
While polling is underway in Anantnag district, voting in Kulgam district will be held on April 29 while Pulwama and Shopian districts will go to polls on May 6.
About 18.56 crore voters are eligible for voting in the third phase of the elections, for which 2.10 lakh polling booths/stations have been set up.
Amit Shah: BJP chief Amit Shah, who replaced L K Advani as the party nominee from Gandhinagar, and 370 other candidates are in the fray in the 26 Lok Sabha seats all of which were won by the party in the last election in Gujarat.
