The ED has registered a case of money laundering on the basis of the Bihar Police FIR on July 31 on the complaint of Sushant's father K.K. Singh. The agency has already recorded the statement of Sushant's father, his sisters Priyanka Singh, Meetu Singh in connection with the case.
Throughout the day on Tuesday, #SSRCulpritsBehindBar kept trending on Twitter with tweets claiming foul play in Sushant's death, and demanding that culprits be arrested.
In its second visit to the Cooper Hospital in the last three days, the CBI's Special Investigation Team (SIT) met the doctors who conducted the post-mortem examination of Sushant, and asked them about the conditions in which the autopsy was carried and who all from the late actor's family were present in the hospital at that time, sources said.
A team of CBI's SIT along with the forensic experts is in Mumbai since Thursday and has questioned several people. The officials have visited Sushant's flat twice and recreated the scene of his death.
The lawyer further said that if she really wanted to cooperate with the family, she could have withdrawn her petition from the Supreme Court. "Rhea is playing a double game in this matter, if she wanted to support the family, then why did she file this petition in the Supreme Court,"
This is not the first time Subramanian Swamy has linked Sunanda Pushkar and Sridevi's cases with that of Sushant. In a tweet posted last Thursday, the politician had hinted at a Dubai link in the death of Sushant, and said the CBI should also go through previous high-profile death cases, including that of superstar Sridevi.
On Saturday also, the CBI team accompanied by Pithani, Neeraj and Sawant visited the late actor's house in Bandra to reconstruct the sequence of events before he wasfound dead. Another CBI team on Saturday visited the state-run Cooper Hospital in the city, where autopsy had been performed on Rajput's body.
Sushant's bedroom was located in the upper floor of the duplex flat at the Mont Blanc building, at Carter Road in posh Bandra West. The locksmith he had got a call from Siddarth Pithani - the flatmate of Sushant - who asked him to come and break open a door lock in the house.
Mahesh Bhatt's wife Soni Rozdan and elder daughter Pooja Bhatt took to Twitter to defend the filmmaker after his private WhatsApp chats with Rhea were leaked. Soni and Pooja said that the forwards Mahesh sent to Rhea had also been sent to them.
Besides a detailed autopsy report, the inquest report (panchnama) and videography of the post-mortem would be initially examined.
The probe team was inside the flat even after three hours, the official said. The team first went to the building's terrace and then entered the flat. From outside, they were seen clicking pictures of the bedroom and shooting video.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday started afresh the probe into Sushant's death. The actor was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14. The investigating bureau collected all documents from Mumbai Police and recorded statements of several people.
"Depression is something different. People should understand this difference. I think depression and all these are just theories coming up about him (Sushant). If he was in real depression, he couldn't have delivered a film like ‘Chhichhore," the family friend pointed out.
The personnel of the central agency and forensic experts reached Rajput's residence in Mont Blanc Apartment around 2.30 pm.

On June 14, Sushant was found dead in his residence in Mumbai. The post-mortem report stated that the actor had committed suicide. The late actor's father KK Singh filed an FIR in Bihar accusing six people including Sushant's girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, for abetment to suicide among other charges.
The CBI registered a case against Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her father Indrajit, mother Sandhya, brother Showik, Sushant's ex-manager Shruti Modi and flatmate Samuel Miranda and unknown others on the basis of his father K.K. Singh's complaint filed with the Bihar Police on July 25.

Ordering a CBI probe into the matter, Justice Hrishikesh Roy said, "While according approval for the ongoing CBI investigation, if any other case is registered on the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and the surrounding circumstances of his unnatural death, the CBI is directed to investigate the new case as well."
