This is a major terrorist attack on the security forces in recent days and it has taken place in an area where many camps of the security forces are situated.
Terrorists on Monday fired upon a police vehicle near Zewan in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar. At least 14 personnel have been injured in the attack.

Incriminating material and arms and ammunition including an AK-rifle and a pistol were recovered from the Kulgam encounter site.
Srinagar recorded a low of 0.7 degrees Celsius Thursday night, the lowest minimum temperature recorded this season.
