Police have arrested a 19-year-old college student for allegedly sodomising a minor boy.
A 12-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by a man in Miranpur town in Muzaffarnagar, police said on Saturday.
A complaint was received by the police from the victim's family that one Niraj Kumar took the boy to a sugarcane field and sexually assaulted him there, Station House Officer Parbhakar Kentura said.
A 22-year-old man, who loved uploading selfies on social media, was abducted and raped by four men, including a minor, in a moving car in Mumbai.
In an order issued on Thursday, district judge S S Gulhane stated that Rajesh Shingada was guilty under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Indian Penal Code.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim's family, the accused took the boy to a vacant house and tried to sodomise him. They fled after the boy fell unconscious. Later, the boy was found by his family, the police said.
The incident occurred in Khidderpore area when the victim was returning home from work on Monday night.
"Raja sodomised the students who used to go to his home for tuition classes. He made video clippings of the crime and had been asking the students to bring money for him," the counsel of one of the victims, Aslam Khan said.
On December 26, 2016, the accused called the boy to his house to watch television and sodomised him. He then warned the boy against revealing the offence to anyone and gave him Rs 20 to buy a fruit drink.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim on September 20, a case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, police said.
