A fire broke out in the ICU ward of Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital early on Wednesday morning with no casualties being reported. Around 50 patients have been shifted to other wards in the hospital. In another accident a fire breaks out at a readymade garments factory in Raghupura Part-2, Gandhinagar area in Delhi.
Fire broke out in the nursing room of Safdarjung Hospital due to a short-circuit earlier this afternoon. It was doused shortly.

Nearly two weeks after she was gangraped and tortured, a 19-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh died on Tuesday. The woman was gangraped allegedly by four men from her village in Hathras. The victim was admitted to the ICU of Delhi hospital in an extremely critical condition. She had multiple fractures and her tongue had been cut. The accused were arrested and are lodged in the jail.
Safdarjung Hospital medical superintendent Dr Balvinder Singh spoke to India TV and explained the mechanism of how data on deaths of COVID-19 patients is stored, managed and reported to the government.
Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) informed that around 406 people housed at quarantine facility of ITBP are being looked after with due medical protocol.
