In the last couple of months, RSS emphasizes harmonious relations between Hindus and Muslims. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on several occasions advocated that such activities that widen the gape between the communities must not be carried out.
It also alleged that the Arvind Kejriwal government's "blanket ban" on firecrackers was aimed at misguiding people and diverting their attention from the real cause of air pollution in the national capital.
Citing the book that was released, "Vajrasuchi Tunk" written by Dr Madan Kulkarni and Dr Renuka Bokare, the RSS chief said social equality was a part of the Indian tradition, but it was forgotten and this led to damaging consequences.
"We should be sad that 20 crore people are below poverty line. And 23 crore people are earning less than Rs 375 per day. Poverty is a demon-like challenge in front of us. It is important that we put to death this demon," RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said.
Bharat Jodo Yatra: "The Congress wants to connect people through hatred and political gimmickry that would not serve the purposes of uniting masses. Congress harboured hatred for RSS and tried to prevent it but the outfit expanded with the support of society," Dr Manmohan Vaidya said.
Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Hindutva leader Sadhvi Rithambara were among the seers from across the country who attended the gathering. The participants also pledged to protect the “modesty and honour of Hindu sisters” and strengthen Hindu society by rising above the divisions of caste and language.
