Swarms of locusts entered Prayagraj. Locusts in massive numbers forced residents to stay indoors. Locals were playing loud music to scare them away.
Farmers have also been asked to adopt some traditional modes like a drum, utensils beating, and crowd-voicing to chasing away the swarms of locusts
Locust swarms from Pakistan have entered Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh threatening major damage to standing cotton crops and vegetables.
