Rescuers retrieved six bodies in Pesisir Selatan and three more in the neighbouring district of Padang Pariaman, bringing the death toll to 19, the National Disaster Management Agency said on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Bittu Bala, Tushar Bala, Nirmal Bala, and Santosh Kumar Das. Dantewada authorities pledged a thorough inquiry and action against any negligence, emphasizing the importance of safety measures in mining environments, especially before operations commence.

A video of the incident has also surfaced showing boulders, rocks falling on the landslide site as workers put efforts to resume traffic on the road.
According to the officials who were engaged in the rescue operations, a landslide occurred near Kachin's Hpakant township as the region has been receiving torrential rainfall.
Several houses including a slaughterhouse collapsed after a fresh landslide took place in Shimla. Uprooting of a large tree caused a landslip leading to the collapse of a cluster of houses with deafening noise, officials said.

Several people are feared trapped in an in a landslide and police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) authorities are carrying out rescue operations.
