The 21-year-old from Mizoram was an integral part of the team's fine run to its maiden Olympic semifinal in Tokyo.
The Mizoram government on Thursday offered the Group-A post to Lalremsiami as an appreciation for her performance at the recently-concluded quadrennial event.
Lalremsiami, who hails from Kolasib in Mizoram and will be playing her career's first quadrennial Games, created history when she became the first female player from the state to make it to the Olympics.
Captain Rani Rampal has had a huge influence on young Mizoram forward Lalremsiami.
Lalremsiami, Salima Tete, Rajwinder Kaur, Sharmila are some of the new entrants in the Indian team and have climbed up the ranks swiftly with some commendable performances on the international stage.
