Kolkata doctor rape-murder case: The NTF has constituted the apex court in the wake of protests by doctors and healthcare professionals following the recent rape and murder of a trainee woman doctor at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
The Bharat Bandh aims to push for the reversal of this court order, which the Samiti argues undermines the existing reservation system. The organisers believe that the court's decision could lead to disparities within these communities.
