Himachal weather: The Himachal Pradesh government has also decided to immediately stop the operations of all stone crushers on both perennial and non-perennial rivulets of the Beas River basin and its tributaries until further orders, said CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu yesterday.
State Disaster Management Director Sudesh Mokhta stated that four to six people have been missing after the incident at Chojh village in Challal panchayat of Kullu district at around 6 am.
The Kangra town recorded the highest rainfall in the state at 118 mm, it was 115 mm in Dharamsala, 84 mm in Dalhousie and 64 mm in Palampur. State capital Shimla received 40 mm rain.
Several parts of Himachal Pradesh received light to moderate rains since Wednesday with Dalhousie gauging 45 mm of rainfall. Sundernagar received 26 mm of rains, followed by Dharamshala 24 mm and Paonta Sahib 18 mm. Bhuntar was the hottest in the state at 34.6 degrees Celsius.
