Three other storm-related deaths were reported by the government's main disaster-response agency in the southern provinces of Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental.
The death toll in Tamil Nadu due to rain-related incidents on Tuesday jumped to five, said Tamil Nadu Revenue and Disaster Management Minister KKSSR Ramachandran.
On Saturday night, Chennai recorded the highest rainfall since 2015 as incessant showers lashed the city overnight. Nonstop rain from 8.30 p.m. on Saturday till 5 a.m. on Sunday left the city inundated with water entering homes in several low-lying areas.

Earlier, Uttarakhand Chief Minister took detailed information from officials concerned about the situation of excessive rainfall in the state.
The Met department said the downpour, caused by a low-pressure area over north Telangana and strong southeasterly wind, is likely to continue till Wednesday.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) here said heavy to very heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad and other districts from Saturday night till Sunday morning.
"All 7-teams deployed at locations are active on the ground to rescue people from flood-like situation after heavy downpour", the officials said.
The district administration alerted residents living on the banks of the river as the water level may increase further due to discharge from the Gangapur dam.
Heavy rainfall in catchment areas of the Manjara dam forced authorities to open all 18 gates of the reservoir to discharge water on Tuesday, which led to flooding in some villages in Beed district.
The Odisha government has already mobilised men and machinery and launched an evacuation drive in seven identified districts in the southern parts of the state.
Odisha is likely to receive heavy rainfall over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Khodak, Puri, Jagatsinghpurup, during the next 12 hours.
The downpour led to the closure of 103 roads for traffic in parts of Gujarat, including two state highways, due to water-logging and the damages they suffered, officials of the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) said.
Earlier on Sunday, IMD informed that a cyclonic circulation hovering over North West Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of North Odisha-West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts was extending upto mid-tropospheric levels tilting south-westwards with height.
West Bengal experienced heavy rain since Sunday night and throughout Monday morning. The weathermen forecast more downpours in the next 24 hours.
The Met department has forecast more heavy rain or thunderstorms till Tuesday morning in most districts of south Bengal, including in Kolkata.
The Uttar Pradesh government On Thursday decided to close all schools, colleges and other educational institutions for two days in the state, following incessant rains since the past 24 hours.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will visit Rajkot and Jamnagar district later in the day to access the situation, officials in the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said.
