Delhi on Thursday remained enveloped in a layer of fog with visibility as low as 0 meter at some isolated pockets of the national capital.
"The minimum temperature in Delhi dipped down to 3 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to touch 21 degree Celsius," the Regional Meteorological Department of Delhi stated in its daily report.
Five people were killed after an ambulance hit a stationary truck in Gopiganj area in Bhadohi amid reduced visibility due to dense fog on Tuesday, police said.
IMD tweeted, "Dehradun, Delhi (Safdarjung & Palam), Bahraich, Lucknow, Sagar and Dibrugarh - 200 meter each. Gwalior and Jabalpur - 25 meter each. Ambala, Bhagalpur, Kailashahar and Agartala- 50 meter each."
Delhi had recorded a cold day on Sunday with the maximum temperature dropping to 15 degrees Celsius, six notches below normal and the lowest this month.
Several parts in the north-India along with Delhi witnessed low visibility due to dense fog on Monday morning.
Delhi's overall air quality stands in the 'very poor' category, according to the System of Air Quality & Weather Forecasting & Research (SAFAR).
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), visibility recorded in Palam at half-past six in the morning was 300 meters.

The weather department on Tuesday had issued an orange alert for the northern plains, which are also forecast to witness foggy conditions. A large part of the country is set to face intense cold conditions over the next few days, it said.
