Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The poll schedule was announced by the Election Commission on March 16. Bypolls to 26 assembly constituencies will also be held alongside the Lok Sabha and four state assembly polls. Bypolls will be held in Ramnagar seat in Tripura and Vilavancode seat in Tamil Nadu today.
Uttar Pradesh has 80 parliamentary constituencies and polling will take place in all seven phases of the Lok Sabha election. The stage is set for a three-cornered contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA, Samajwadi Party, and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
The Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be held in seven phases from April 19. As many as 21 states and Union territories will go for polling on 102 seats in the first phase.

Apart from the TDP MP, others who attended most number of sessions included the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members Rajendra Agrawal (Meerut) - 98 per cent, Mahesh Sharma (Gautam Buddh Nagar) - 97 per cent and Satya Pal Singh (Baghpat) - 96 per cent, according to a data shared by PRS Legislative Research.
In 91 constituencies across India, over 14.21 crore voters will decide the fate of 1,279 candidates in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019. In terms of the number of Lok Sabha seats, the first phase is third biggest among the seven phases in which the election will be conducted. More than 1.70 lakh polling booths set up across 20 states and Union Territories.
