On November 05, air quality further deteriorated in Delhi. A thick layer of smog was seen at various parts of the national capital and poor visibility was observed here due to rise of pollutants in the atmosphere.
Amid the rise in pollution levels, people are having problems with breathing and some children have started facing throat problems due to contaminated air.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on October 16 stated that meteorological conditions in Delhi have been "extremely unfavourable" for dispersion of pollutants since this September as compared to last year.

The air quality in Delhi deteriorated beyond the "severe" level because of a ground-level dust storm in western India which increased coarser particles in the air, the Central Pollution Control Board data showed.
