The incident was reported to police on January 29 when the victim's wife, a resident of Shakarpur area of east Delhi, filed a missing complaint of her husband who drove a Uber cab.

Mala Lakhani, 50, who used to run a boutique in Green Park area, was murdered by a tailor who was employed with her since last three years.
Police are also scanning through profiles of missing girls and trying to identify the deceased, the DCP said.
The two victims have been identified as Asha Pathak and Usha Pathak, both were around 75 years of age, the police said.

The notes, found by police at the family house, have strong similarity with the manner in which the mouths, eyes etc of the deceased were tied and taped.
The police investigation has confirmed that the elderly lady was killed by asphyxiation, but cause of other deaths is yet to be confirmed.

The police made the arrest as Major Handa, a friend of the victim, was spotted with her hours before she went missing from the Army Base Hospital in Delhi Cantonment area.
The police sources said that the accused, an Army Major, was a friend of the deceased and was seen with her hours before the murder. The available clues have made the police look for a love-affair angle, they added.
According to eyewitnesses, Kuldeep had come to the mall where the woman used to work at a shop. The woman was going to toilet on the first floor when the accused grabbed her and stabbed her several times.
According to official sources, the shooters and the victims could be part of two rivals gangs. The shooters were traveling in a Fortuner car while victims were in a Scorpio. The victims had also fired shots at the Fortuner during the incident, the sources said.
The victims, including four women, were allegedly surrounded and beaten up by a mob of 30-40 people on Thursday night. The victims alleged that they were targeted because they were Kashmiris.
