A Delhi court on Tuesday send actor-activist Deep Sidhu to seven-day police custody in connection with Red Fort incident during Republic Day violence.
The Delhi Police has arrested Deep Sidhu , an accused in the January 26 violence during farmer protests at the Red Fort.
Delhi Police has announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh to anyone who shares information that could help in tracing those involved in hoisting the flags at Red Fort on the Republic Day, including Punjabi actor-cum-activist Deep Sidhu. Sidhu has been accused of inciting and leading protesting farmers on tractors to the Red Fort, where a religious flag was unfurled on Republic Day.
Delhi Police announce cash reward of Rs 1 lakh each for information leading to arrest of Deep Sidhu, Jugraj Singh, Gurjot Singh & Gurjant Singh, & Rs 50,000 each for arrest of Jajbir Singh, Buta Singh, Sukhdev Singh & Iqbal Singh for their alleged involvement in Jan 26 violence.
The Delhi Police has issued lookout notices against the farmer leaders against whom FIRs have been filed in connection with Republic Day violence. The notices were issued by the police at the behest of the Ministry of Home Affairs to prevent these leaders from fleeing the country.
Two days after the violent tractor rally in Delhi, Deep Sidhu threatened to expose farmer leaders as they were accusing the Punjabi actor-turned-activist mastermind of the Red Fort riots. In a video message, Sidhu said, "If he would start exposing the farmers' leaders, they will not be able to escape from Delhi."
