The number of COVID-19 containment zones in Delhi, which currently stand at 716, may be increased owing to further relaxations under 'Unlock' and doubling of coronavirus tests
As per the state government website, Egiye Bangla, the highest number of containment zones are in Nadia district followed by East Burdwan and NorthDinajpur districts. The total number of containment zones in West Beengal is 2,304.
As coronavirus cases continue to rise rapidly across the state, the West Bengal government on Tuesday decided to impose strict lockdown in COVID-19 affected areas by clubbing together containment zones and buffer zones near them from July 9. The administration stated that the buffer zones along with containment zones will be put under total lockdown from 5 pm on Thursday.

Pune reported 6 deaths due to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday, taking the death toll to 181 in the district. One more area in Delhi's Shahdara — J, K & L pockets of Dilshad Garden, and G,H and J blocks of old Seemapuri, has been removed from containment zones on Wednesday.
