Cold wave gripped National Capital on December 20. The overall temperature was recorded at 7.6 degrees Celsius in New Delhi. Though the weather was clear, the IMD predicted that fog will be witnessed in the next few days.
Heavy rainfall in parts of Delhi-NCR intensified cold wave. Farmers agitating against new farm laws faced weather's wrath. Rainwater entered farmers' camps at Burari ground.
IMD senior scientist, RK Jenamani informed that cold wave will continue in north India tomorrow and will decrease from January 02.

The parts of Dal Lake in Srinagar froze amid severe winter. The minimum temperature recoded in Srinagar was -7 degree Celsius and maximum temperature was at 10 degree Celsius.
