A thick layer of fog engulfed Punjab as the minimum temperature in Ludhiana is likely to remain at 2 degree Celsius for December 25 and 26. Minimalistic visibility due to dense fog created problem for the people travelling to work.
The temperature in the national capital continued to remain below normal as cold waves persisted in the city.

National capital's air quality continues to degrade as it slips from 'very poor category' to 'severe category.' According to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), city's air quality index stood at 404 in the morning of December 23.
As temperature continues to dip in the national capital, several homeless people were moved to night shelters in Kashmiri Gate area. There are around total of 17 night shelters at Kashmiri Gate.
Air quality remained in the 'very poor' category in the national capital meanwhile cold weather conditions prevail in Delhi.
