In the meeting, it was informed that an amount of Rs 20 crore in two phases would be spent to undertake relief and restoration works for the marooned people in the two districts.
"People say Sitaji was born from an earthen pot, which means at the time of Ramayana, a concept similar to test tube baby must have existed," news agency ANI quoted Dinesh Sharma, as saying.
The minister said that to recruit government employees for the group "C" and group "D" posts a separate institution would be constituted and the existing Tripura Public Service Commission would be further strengthened for selecting best candidates for the required government posts.
An official of the Chief Minister's Secretariat said Deb left for New Delhi on Tuesday to attend a series of programmes in the national capital.
