The declaration issued at the end of the two-day BIMSTEC summit called for identifying and holding accountable States, non-State entities that encourage, support or finance terrorism.
The BIMSTEC summit 2018 concluded with Nepal Prime Minister, K P Sharma Oli handing over the chairmanship of the grouping to Sri Lankan President, Maithripala Sirisena.
The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is a regional grouping comprising India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan and Nepal.
